ABOUT ME

I am a visual artist based in Richmond, VA, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Radford University (2013). During my time in Southwest Virginia, I developed a sincere admiration for the lush, rolling landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which has been a significant influence in my work.

My paintings are a synthesis of complex emotion, fractured spaces, and whimsical exploration. The figures in my work are pensive and isolated, surrounded by natural landscapes and geometric interruption. Through angular shape, I explore the fractured relationship between humans and the environment, while also visualizing nature’s ability to serve as a window to self-reflection and discovery. Though my paintings pull from personal experiences, my hope is that the viewer can step into my painted world of vulnerability, meditation, and whimsy, to reflect on the healing power of nature.
